As 2021 comes to a close and the world starts to return to “business as usual,” it can be tempting to want to forget the uncertainty, the loss, and the exceptionally difficult moments in the collective history we have all just experienced.
Throughout the last year, YPL continued to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic and respond to other challenges, whether it was hosting vaccination clinics, transforming the Will Library to a FEMA assistance center after Hurricane Ida, or alternating between indoor, outdoor and virtual programs.
Since 2018, The Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library (FYPL) has donated over $100,000 to support the Yonkers Public Library and the growing needs of a library system serving the people of the third largest city in the State of New York.
