Teresa Pereira

Teresa Pereira is a Graphic Designer, Visual Artist, and Art Teacher. She teaches Studio Art at Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, and leads art workshops at the Hudson River Museum, Yonkers Public Library, and the Rye Free Reading Room. She has lent her talents as a Graphic Artist in several areas of the publishing industry including newspapers, medical journals, magazines and digital media. Teresa currently works as a Graphic Designer for American Booksellers Association and freelances for such clients as The Rye Free Reading Room, Groundwork Hudson Valley, and Yonkers Partners in Education. Teresa has also had an enjoyable career as a muralist and has painted murals in all three branches of the Yonkers Public Library.
An avid reader, Teresa has always loved the library. She has fond memories of the Carnegie Library, formerly on Broadway and Nepperhan Avenue, and has been a patron since her family moved to Yonkers in the 1976. Teresa looks forward to helping the library as it continues to grow as a vital and vibrant part of the Yonker’s community.
